Football granny

This is my variation (the football part)from a free pattern. I made it for someone who is making a ghan for a seriously ill boy.

Test pattern completed...

Three of us on Crochetville volunteered to test this pattern. It was a lot of fun, and our results are all different since we each used a different color as well as a different weight of yarn. I used baby yarn and it came out a little larger than a traditional lapghan size.

**Thanks, Amanda, for asking what the saying is on the ghan.
"When the mice are away the cats will dance!" is what's on there....and the outlined figures are images of a cat on her hind legs, "dancing".

Summer scarf swap...

...and here is what my partner Kelly made for me! Technically the purple isn't for summer - but it's very classy and I love both of the scarves. She also sent me more cotton yarn, which will go a long way toward helping me put a dent in the many tote bag patterns I have on my WIM list.

Some of my latest...

I took this beautiful graph filet piece which was designed and stitched by my Secret Pal from last Fall's swap and attached it to the pillow. I think it shows it off beautifully!
The Round Ripple blanket is for a preemie charity I'm invoved with...I love the lavender...

Lapghan

I made this as a Thank You gift for my 90 yo FIL's neighbor. She befriended him from the moment she moved in next door to him and recently helped us out when FIL was in a dangerous situation. The colors are in her home, and she owns a cat!
