Catching Up!

This is a scarf I made for a charity, three identical ponchos for some little girls, a tote bag for me (Betty Boop was gifted to me, I made the rest of the bag), and a Christmas table runner I made from thread.

USMC Graph Ghan

This measures 57 by 46 inches, and the final row of the border is a reverse single crochet. It's a gift for a proud family and I was honored to make it for them.

Baby Round Ripple

This is for someone going through a very hard time. I only know of her, but do know that she's waiting for her unborn baby boy to arrive and I'm hoping this blanket gives her some hope and encouragement.
It's light blue and white - taking a picture indoors isn't always the best.

Two More Blankets for Fisher House

The browns and blues turned out bigger than I thought it would. It can cover a twin bed...LOL! The Round Ripple is about 42 inches across and suitable for either a lapghan or a child.

My Furbabies

Just wanted to post these pics. Susie (the smallish GSD) just turned 11 years old this month. She has different health issues, but nothing major, tg, thanks to great medical care from her vet. Sparkie, the big, dark "moose", will be 4 years old in December. They love their rawhide bones, which are treats only given to them when we sit outside too.

46 inch Round Ripple

This is going to Fisher House at Ft. Bragg, NC, where families stay while their military family member is being treated at the hospital there.

Another Set of Potholders

Again, strictly decorative, since they're made of acrylic. They could, however, probably be used on a table as a trivet for something that isn't straight off the stove (but using the plain back to be safe).

8 inch square

I made this for a swap. It's square pattern #65 from the book 101 Crochet Squares by Jean Leinhauser.
I used a G hook; colors are: Coffee Brown, Cornmeal, Woodsy (variegated). All are Red Heart Super Saver yarn. The only deviation I made from the pattern was to change the color sequence at the end and make the last round HDC instead of SC, to get it to size.

Rectangles for HAP

I have a small stack of 6 by 9 inch rectangles to send in for the blankets that are made and given to wounded soldiers.
I wish it was more, but it's the best I can do for now. I hope to send more next time...but pray there will be a time when there will be no more need for these ghans.

Child-size Round Ripple

child-size RR

I made it from Homespun, using a K hook. The edging is a rev hdc using 2 strands with an N hook. It's going to a hospital and will be given to a seriously ill child.

Some more work...

I made the 8 inch squares for some friends on crochetville. We have a Friendship Square exchange going. The idea is to get enough squares to make a special afghan for ourselves (for a change...LOL).
I made the baby 9 patch from Vanna Baby Yarn...it's very soft. The pattern can be found at http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/htm/quilts.html

Charity Projects

I assembled these from lots of donated squares I received from my Yahoo group and also used some squares of my own that I had made. The 2 small pieces are preemie ghans, while the other two are a good size for an adult to use as a lapghan or for a child to use for their bed. I'm waiting for an address from someone who says she has a place to send them. If I don't hear from her this week I have another place or two in mind where they can go, too.

Wedding Gift

This is a 44 inch graph ghan for a neighbor's son. He grew up alongside our son and I wanted to do something special for he and his bride.
The darker color is a deep green.

I purchased this design at www.citiusa.com and for a nominal fee the designer personalized the pattern.

Baby Booties

booties

I got the pattern from http://www.geocities.com/gossgirl2/fakemjs.htm
I made these for my friend Mary's great niece, who is just past one month old.
They were very easy - and fast - to make. I made the lacy part using #3 thread instead of #10 as was suggested, adjusting the starting chain to fit.

Pet Memories graph ghan - FINISHED!

Photobucket
Photobucket

The last 2 names under the German Shepherd section are our current furbabies.
I got the patterns for the images and the letters from www.citiusa.com, though I did tweak the Sheltie and cat patterns to more closely resemble our own pets.

8 inch squares

These squares are going to a member of crochetville to be used as part of a comfortghan. They're slightly adapted from a pattern in 101 Crochet Squares
